In some of the races the clydes have done the 3 course and others the cat 2 course we will do what is wanted, I have heard though that most would like the longer course. I don't know the weight but ours will be the same as all the others.

I want to do the longer version so will sign up for Cat 2 if I need to. My apologies if you're not affiliated with the race. I just didn't see an email on the website.

The cat 3s will do 1 lap. You can go to the Picketts web page for more details. It is the last race of the series and Mike will be there to give out all of the awards. You can email me if you have any questions. Ben says this is the best course of the series, and I agree. What that means is it is an awesome course because we have had all great courses in the races I have done.

DECODED... What Don really means is that this is the "best" course of the series if you live in Bend and have memorized the radius and camber of all 300+ corners and lines around each and every lava rock--otherwise the locals would like you to come over so they can school you up;)

Good luck over there... Shoot it may even be spring by then!

Thank again to the guy and gal from Webcyclery on the mtb tandem who threw
the chain tool to me during Pickett's Charge. You saved me a long walk. I
plan to carry a chain tool from now on! Thanks!

yeah the course was the same, I was way slower than last year.
it is a bummer when you are trying to get better, hard to beleive dusty heat
could make that much difference.
next year we can all improve our times!

Great race, everyone!

Did the course change from last year? I noticed that almost everyone was
slower this year than last. Or was it just looser and dustier and thus
slower?

The time trial, short track and XC were all very nice courses. I agree that

putting these on is a huge task and those of us that just show up and ride

"understand" that all cannot be perfect... although I feel that the three I

have raced this year (Reehers, Bear Springs and Picketts) were all great.

Damian was working his butt off to try to make it a great event for

participants... and those that helped him deserve credit as well. Unless

you are a pro like a select few... remember it is for fun. Just my

opinion...I do respect those opinions that are different... I just say good

job Damian. Don't let it bring you down as Neil Young said.

ron....just a beginner

Hey OBRA land

I would like to say thinks to Damian for a fun race yesterday! Weather

was super, course was fun and I had no problem finding the right turn!

Sorry all of you in the sport class that missed the "Y".

I know there was a lot of talk after the race about it being not very

organized, but it must be a BIG undertaking to put on a one day race,

But a 3 stage race I bet is more then 3 times the work.

So once again thanks for a good race!

Dan Davis.

The short track course was sweet and very spectator friendly. It was worth being there just to see Trebon float up the climb during the pro-elite race. I've never seen anyone climb like that before.

Agree. It was a very fun day on a very good course. Damion did a good job explaining the

courses before the start. Could have helped to have a "<---Short Loop / Long Loop --->"

sign at the turn. on the course I had to ask a local rider if we were at the turn yet.

Lots o' Fun though!

-Don

PS anyone that complains about how a race is organized needs to put on a race or at least

help with one.
