road rides or mtb rides in Prineville area?

Head out the Crooked River Canyon and/or McKay Canyon. Both awesome road

rides. Out to Prineville Reservoir is good too. Take the loop to the

right as you're heading up the hill (can't remember the name of the road

off hand). You could also head west on the O'Neill Hwy towards Redmond

and hang a right and go over to Smith Rock (slight detour), then connect

back to Hwy. 26 via Lone Pine Rd. and back into P-Ville. Should be about

50 that way and pretty lightly traveled.

a variety of terrain. It is primarily rugged double track climbing and

find-your-own-line freeride descending. I would appreciate any company.

Respond if you are interested.

oh yeah,

good area. for a road ride take the crooked river hwy to prineville resevoir and back.

mt bike: ride or drive out o'neil hwy take a right on lone pine rd go three miles and take a left on 5710(dirt) park there.

ride out 5710 for a few miles till you see a single track on the left right by an old orchard. ride around grey butte and when you cross a dirt gravel like rd follow the single track thru cow areas down hill back to 5710 and campground where you started. that is one of the best central oregon rides.

I am going to be at our family ranch just outside of Spray. I am

planning to get out on the mtb on Sunday. We have about 12,000 acres of

a variety of terrain. It is primarily rugged double track climbing and

find-your-own-line freeride descending. I would appreciate any company.

Respond if you are interested.
