The problem with being a shop owner is having an opinion seems always to go back to well you own a store so you get all that stuff for free. That maybe somewhat true but I have been bike racing for so long it started long before I owned a store. I have never been to a road race, where they had a raffle. Mountain bike races started this as a way to make bike racing more friendly, less formal and more of a party atmosphere. I think that was a good idea. However when there is a raffle and people complain about the prizes it take that aspect away.
I am not here to defend some of the problems at Picketts Charge. I would like all of those problems fixed. I just wanted to reply to Matt, who loves raffles, that I don't. That is what makes this world fun. Matt can love raffles I can hate them and we can still be friends. Not like politics.
