OBRA-

It appears that the Co-Motion NWTTS site is practicing unsafe information

dissemination.

George and I would prefer if you did not visit the site until my hosting

agent can remove the troublesome vermin. That said, I would like to let

everyone know that the last Co-Motion-Northwest Time Trial Series Race will be held

this Saturday in Trout Lake, WA. Start time is 10:00 AM. The venue is

superb - a challenging 40K on a route with about 2000 feet of climbing (and

descending).

If you let me know by email that you would like to race Saturday you may pay

at the registration table when you sign your waiver. I just need your OBRA

#, Name, Age, Category, and Team Name to add you to the start list.

This month also marks the final chapter in the points race for some amazing

grand prizes.

Racers Pablo Espinosa (Benaroya Research Institute), David Zimbleman (Excel

Sports) Jay Freyensee (Easton-Specialized), Kenneth Philbrick (Aurora Cycling)

Kevin Nichols (Excel Sports) Paul Qualtere-Burcher (EWEB Windpower), Jay

Rideout (South South Tri) Kent Peterson (EWEB Windpower) Jude Russell (Sorella

Forte) Laura Recko (Team Bag Balm) and Marta Medcalf are all in the running

for the jackpot of series prizes that include a Co-Motion Espresso Frameset,

FSA Vision Carbon AeroBars, Gift Certificates from Hammer Nutrition, Great

cyclingwear from Voler and more.

The winners of this months time trial will also be in the running for great

prizes from FSA, Velowear, Hammer Nutrition and others.

After the race join your family across the Columbia in Hood River for the

Apple Festival, the Blue Grass Festival or just great fun hiking, cycling or

eating.

Look forward to seeing everyone out there on Saturday,

Terri

OBRA-ites,

Terri and I are finding ourselves in a quandary. Those of you who have done

our events know the emphasis we place on safety, organization and

professionalism. Unless we find 10 volunteers for next week's TT we will not be able

to meet any of those standards. We recently moved to a rural area 10 miles

outside of Hood River. It's gorgeous, we love it and there is a great cycling

community (which due to our May Training Camps and last weekend's Race Across

Oregon we have been unable to meet). We've lost our dedicated corps of

volunteers from Corvallis and REALLY need your help. We will not put on a poorly

organized event and if we cannot get enough volunteers by 6:00 pm Sunday

June 12 we will postpone the event to September. If this happens, those of you

who have signed up will have the option of a refund or we'll hold your entry

to the July race.

Hope to hear from you soon.
