In about 1.5 weeks, the 10th annual Cascade Creampuff 100 mile MTB

race will be held in Westfir Oregon, 40 minutes from Eugene. This is considered to be one

of the toughest 100 mile MTB

races in the US.

This year, Don Person (the race promoter) has designed a new course

that is tougher than ever before. The race course includes Winberry, trai, lAlpine Trail, Tire

Mtn trail, Westfir Tie trail, North Fork trail, Cloverpatch trail, along with gravel roads. Come

out and see what the toughest ride around is like.

We are looking for some help from locals, and anyone interested in

this event. Volunteers are needed for Saturday June 25 to help ensure

course markings are adequate, but mainly help will be needed Sunday

June 26. Duties include setting up, breaking down and working at one

of 4 Aid Stations set up along the course that will provide food,

water, and minor mechanical needs for racers. We also need people to

pre-ride the course, and sweep riders for the end.

Pre-registered Volunteers will receive dinner Sat and Sunday night,

free camping Sat night and a CCP100 t-shirt. Please pre-register

early to choose a shift or two if you are able to help. The Volunteer

Position list is on the CCP100 webpage

There is a volunteer meeting Saturday evening at the Red Covered

bridge in Westfir at 6pm. Attendance is not required, but is

encouraged. If you are able to volunteer on Saturday afternoon, just

stop by the Red Covered Bridge and we will have a list of things

to help with.

Thanks in advance for your assistance in making this event one of the

best endurance races around. It is a great showcase of our local

trails, and is always lots of fun for racers and volunteers as well.
