Women Racers Input for Monday Night Races Wanted!

I may be alone, but I disagree with Sandy - I thought the races last year

were perfect in terms of distance, time, etc.    Let's leave it at 10 to 12

laps so the newcomers aren't as intimidated and we keep the numbers up.

Those women wanting longer rides can always opt to ride with the guys or do

the weekend races. Those women wanting shorter rides will still have a race

to do. PIR is about getting new people out and since we only have one

category/race for women, lets try and keep it fun and welcoming. Thanks for

inviting the input. Debbi

With regards to the Lakeside Bicycles Monday Night Masters and Women PIR

Race Series-

Since i got a great response to asking the masters input about monday

nights, i thought i would ask the women. My main concerns are about

increasing ridership and marketing race(and OBRA) to newbie race so they

can get experience. Since mostly your group was the one that saw the

biggest growth; i would like your comments on some issues:

Note:

race will still stay OPEN women(all ages, abilities) so that will not

change. We CANT add another group at PIR, its hard enough tracking

everyone as it is, plus Nancy would hate me if i did...

Issues:

-What would you all like for me to do to add more excitement to the

races? within reason...

-Would you like more hot spots?

-Did you like the # of average laps you did last year? Do you want

more?

-any other non personal comments about the race. Non personal comments

meaning not focusing on you as racer but as your racing group in

general.

Remember its your race too, please take time to comment if you would

like!

Thanks!
