FW: Eric Kautzky killed this morning

Eric was one of the first TRC members to ride and offer tips to me when

I started riding

over 15 years ago. He had cut back on his racing, but he was one of the

good guys. One

of those people who, when you saw him, you went out of your way to go

over and say 'Hi!'.

Darrell is right. Eric will be sorely missed by everyone. My thoughts go

out to his family and

friends.

be sorely missed by us all.

Subject: Eric Kautzky killed this morning

Team:

I just got off the phone with Mark Ontiveros. Eric Kautzky was killed at

about 6:30 am this morning riding on Tualatin-Sherwood Road. No more

details than that. Channel 2 was at River City talking with Mark.

Eric had been a long time member of the team and supportive of our efforts

for many years. I strongly suggest that we dedicate the Mt. Tabor Circuit

Race next weekend to Eric and that we wear black armbands throughout the day

as part of that dedication.

It is tragic when a bicycler is killed riding. It is even more so when it

is one of your own. Keep his family in your prayers, they will need all the

love and support we can provide.

Terry
