Just wanted to drop a more formal line of thanks to OBRA and all of the

promoters and others involved in putting together another great series

of mountain bike racing in Oregon.

Also wanted to say thanks and congradulate all those who participated in

races this season. It is only possible with the racers, too! Lets all

make it our goal to get one new person out next season (can you

imagine!)

I have been racing here in Oregon for 15 years and have had my best

results yet this year. However I value the good times and good races

more than any particular result. Even though I haven't met you all, just

seeing the familiar faces out each race and each year is a wonderful

thing!



There is one more race at SkiBowl in September. I have done the series

there, too this year and it has had awesome courses, great prizes and

great organization. Unfortunately the numbers haven't been so good. I

challenge each and every one of to show up and race. Petr has stood up

and delivered for this sport for as long as I have been racing. Lets

blow his mind with a great turnout for the last race of the year!



Lastly, I know we don't have NORBA races much here in Oregon and we

probably don't really need them. However, the National Championships are

in September in Mammoth, CA and Oregon could easily win the overall

state cumulative ranking. Mark your calendars, put in your FTO slips and

make the road trip to Cali. It will be awesome racing and great fun and

we can show everyone that Oregon has the greatest MTB racers in the

country!
