Jonathan Maus
Howdy folks,
Just wanted to say thanks to the 30 or so people who responded with stories of near-misses and dangerous car/bike incidents. Remember to check tomorrow's Willy Week for the story (and it turns out the Oregonian is planning on something too...nothing like a little competition huh?).
Since all of the comments won't make it into the article, I've been thinking of a way to best utilize them. I also feel that these stories are a vital piece of the puzzle in driving awareness for our safety issues with politicians and transportation planners.
So I'm asking for your help once again. I have made a new post asking for you to leave your stories of close-calls in the comments section. Once a bunch of comments come in, I will draft a letter to our city leaders with all the comments attached. This will be a standing testimony of our collective voice and a small step to helping more people realize what is really happening between cars and bikes out on our streets.
Hopefully, the 30 or so folks who already replied to my initial request, will be so kind to just copy/paste their stories.

Thanks for your valuable time and input.
