Twilight Criterium (And then some)

If you want to race in the Masters race, you must first of all be a =20

master (of something). That is, you must be 35 or older. Next, you =20

must be a cat. 2 or 3. If you are a 1 or a 4/5, you can=92t do this =20

race (sorry, I tried).

If you want to do the Pro 1-2 race, you must be fast (nuff said).

If you don=92t fit into either one of these two categories, you should =20=

still come and check it out. The Portland Twilight Crit. will =20

feature some of the fastest dudes in North America, including Tyler =20

Ferrar, Ivan Dominguez, and Greg Henderson of the Health Net Team, =20

Aaron Olson (Colavita), Andrew Pinfold and Christian Meier =20

(Symmetrics), and Evan Elken and Johnny (the Kitten) Sundt (Jittery =20

Joes) to name a few.

Also some of the country=92s top Mountain bikers will be racing, =20

including multi world cup winner Adam Craig (Health Net) and US Natl. =20=

Road Race Champ. Carl Decker (Broadmark).

Then there=92s the locals, like Sea Otter champ. Doug Ollerenshaw =20

(Health Net), last years winner Adam Curry (Broadmark), and =20

everybody=92s favorite crosser Erik Tonkin (Kona)

These guys will be racing for a $6,000 prizelist and $4,000 in lap =20

prizes.

Still not convinced? How about this, there will be live music =20

featuring Dave Guettler, dressed as =93Sparky=94 (don=92t ask). There =

will =20

be lots of food and a vendor expo. There will be a fully secure bike =20=

corral compliments of the Community Cycling Center, and finally, =20

there will be BEER!

Even if you swore that you=92d never come to this event because you =20

hate the promoter, you should come because there will be a Brad Ross =20

pinata hanging near the Start/Finish for you to take multiple swings at.

So be there. It=92s in front of the Portland Art Museum this Friday =20

Aug. 12th from 7 to 9 pm.
