Masters A, B, and C. Or to make it simpler for Oregon EVERY race 35+

open or if the promoter has the man/woman power and time, 35+ with a

1/2/3 and a 4/5 field. We could define 1/2/3 as A and 4/5 as B. It

would give the "Slow" masters a place to be competitive and the "Fast"

masters a challenging race without loosing your job, family, etc. Every

race around the state the same, constancy for once would be great!"



I think I need to make it clear that under OBRA rules the race categories

and restrictions are decided on solely by the race organizer with the

exception of State Championships, where categories are designated by the

Executive Director and are generally 10 year age increments starting at 30.



If anyone thinks that it would be a better system to mandate specific age

criteria for Masters or to mandate holding specific categories at races (I

certainly do NOT think that would be a good idea) they should propose that

rule change in accordance with the process for changing rules. I should

also point out that this has been done before and voted down. Feel free,

propose away.
