One would think that after the tragic death at PIR folks would look where
they are riding but I guess some folks will not learn from other peoples
mistakes and must make their own.
Heads up, kids!

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Collision at Peoria TT
I was contacted by a local who was riding Peoria Rd. northbound just
past the TT turnaround point this past weekend when a TT racer collided
with him and his wife on their recumbents.
If this was you, please get back to me.
If you know who it was, please get back to me.
The accident happened around 10:30am, and they couldn't clearly recall
the team colors. "Greenish" was the somewhat uncertain recollection.
No number was recorded.
The racer told them he had his head down and didn't see them. He was
very polite and hung around with them long enough to make sure they were
"ok". They called their son to come pick them up, and this took some
time for him to arrive.
Once they got to the finish area, they checked in with the officials,
but could not find any information on who this rider was to see if he
was alright or to exchange information.
Thanks for any assistance.
Regards,
Jim Fischer
