I just talked to Darien and Chauncey again this morning -
They say THANK YOU for all the support. Darrell asked it there was anything
else besides cooking he could do ? well Darien asked if anyone might be
wiling to baby sit Tessa next week to give Chauncey a break now and then.
She would like to see Chauncey race PIR and Alpenrose just so he can get out
some. Plus if anyone would be willing to watch Tessa for a few hours during
the day sometime next week allowing Chaucney to get some chores done that
would be really cool too.
Darien also wanted to know if anyone would be willing to donate a bone or
two?
Here is Chaucney?s email address if you can help out: velo-@att.net
Cheers
Norrene
PS ? that accident happened at the intersection by the Beaverton Library.

I know a lot of you are wondering what happened - well Tuesday night Darien
was riding home from work when a lady in a car decide she could no longer
wait and turned left right in front of Darien. Darien had the right of way.
She hit the hood and car surfed for a while, when the car stopped, she flew
off the hood and hit the ground hard; breaking her pelvis. Tons of people
stopped and helped her - which was very cool.
She went to OHSU ER to be checked out and stayed overnight. Darien went home
yesterday (Wed), she isn't feeling so yippy-skippy at the moment as the pain
meds wear off and because she has to stay in bed for two weeks so her pelvis
heals enough that she can put a little bit of weight on it with crutches.
She's a tadbit grumpy cause she was just gettng back into shape.
Chauncey is at home double shifting taking care of both Tessa and Darien. I
know a! lot of you have asked if there is anything you can do, well Chaucney
isn't the best cook in town and with Darien in bed 24, 7 for the next two
weeks. A nice home cooked meal might be a nice treat for the Curls.
Thanks to everyone for asking about Darien, it's great to be in such a huge
cycling family.
Cheers
