In case anybody is wondering, there were exactly two
(2) OBRA riders in Victoria for the AVC this past
weekend. So every time a Canadian would ask me "Where
are all the Oregon riders?", I explained that there
was a scheduling conflict, and everyone else had
decided to race the OBRA championships.
For those of you who actually showed up at Districts,
thanks for not making a liar out of me.

officiating everything has been first class. That

alike should always put the best foot forward to not

the turnout for cat 4-5 and women could have
doubled. Some of the best
performances of the weekend came from non trackies
(Ernie Conway and Charlie
Warner especially, great work guys!!!!). My final
thought is this in order
to produce the best local talent the best need to
race against the best, the
great bi-product is full fields in all categories
and most importantly new
racers coming in because they had an opportunity to
see racing at it's best.
Senior and masters racers alike be proud to own the
legacy of Oregon racing
and it's future which is juniors and new racers. So
if we could have a
record turnout for State Team Track I would
personally be impressed. PS To
teams that have only one racer who rides track,
outside of sprinting track
is also a team sport, the more riders the more
opportunities for strategic
and exciting track racing.
