The results say very little about OBRA...what it does say is that Oregon
produces some very capable mountain bikers. The American Cycling
Association could easily claim top dog bragging rights based on their
participants' results. Take a closer look at the results and you will
see that Oregon placed 6 riders in the top 20, but Colorado placed 10 in
the top twenty, 6 in the top 10, and in fact, 5 in the top 6. So what
does that say about the ACA? The ACA supports racing in general, and now
has extended its influence into New Mexico and Texas as well. I think we
need to get away from the elitist attitude of OBRA versus USA Cycling,
and get back to the pure and simple truth that we are all pursuing the
same goals.
