TSA opens and breaks my Bike Friday every time I fly, which is about 2/mo.
It appears that you are missing services, for which U were overcharged. Me too.

Quick history:
Sent Aaron to worlds, United Airlines cracked and dent his frame on the return trip to portland. bike was in a soft case bike bag, United has ignored my phone calls but sent us a 150 dollar travel certificate and a letter saying they do not assume liability for bikes. It was an interantional flight so Aaron did not sign any paper work giving united "limited liability." We took the bike and the bike bag back to United in under 24 hours, United themselves documented the damange. Any suggestions?
The frame United cracked was brand new only ridden a few times and it's $1000 !
STA travel is helping with this, but I wanted to know if there is something I am missing.
