Also please make sure your kids do not ride on the track. Big time

no no!

And Apples and pears are in peak season right now and McCurdy Farms

who is a huge supporter of cycling in the region has a great fruit

stand just a 1/2 mile south of the high school on Tucker Road. Make

sure and take time to stop by and stock up on the freshest apples and

pears you can find! Good luck to everyone!

Even though I'm not the promoter this year, I've got to give my

little plug for the Hood River Cyclocross Classic. The weather is

absolutely gorgeous today and it should be even nicer tomorrow. The

forecast is for 74 degrees and sunny, so bring your family out and

enjoy all that Hood River has had to offer.

Those of you who have come out before know what a great race this

is. Grab some friends, join a carpool, and head on out and support

the VeloShop team as they kick off the 2005 'Cross season. Just

remember that there is no water on site and so you will need to bring

your own (and please don't ride on the athletic fields).

If anyone needs/wants a ride to Hood River I'm driving out with my

ladies (wife, 2 daughters). I'm not racing but I've got roof racks and I

can fit one person. Give me a ring or email if you're interested.

advised.
