The Central Oregon Trail Alliance is pleased to announce the specifics for

BIKETOBERFEST, our annual fall work party. This year's event will be held

on Saturday October 22nd from 9am-2pm, followed immediately by a free

barbeque and beer kindly provided by Deschutes Brewery.

This time around we're going make you "an offer you can't refuse." Any

volunteers who show up for this trail work day and work the 5 hour shift

will earn a one year free membership in COTA. If you are already a paid

member in good standing, the free membership will be added from the date

that your current membership expires. If you are not a current member,

your starting date for the free membership will be 10/22/05.

We are tentatively starting from Swampy lakes Sno-park at 9am on the 22nd,

but the venue is dependent on weather and soil moisture. Final decision on

our meeting place will be posted on cotamtb.org and also emailed out to

our member list.

Bring sturdy shoes, plenty of water, and work gloves. COTA will supply

tools and show you how to use them. Hours are 9AM-2PM.

In previous years the turnout has been terrific, so please start to

network to your fellow cyclists to insure a large turnout for the 2005

fall event.

Thank you, Kent Howes-President, Central Oregon Trail Alliance
