I had a chain drop or two myself on my mtb yesterday. Didn't realize it

until I couldn't get the gear I wanted. Looked down and there my chain

was, on my granny gear. The moral of my story? Not only did my granny

gear keep the chain on, but I was able to keep pedaling.

I run double chain guards; no drops at Scouter's. I know of at least

one rider who had several drops with a third eye. That course was
