Weather is looking questionable. At what point/amount of rain does it take for the clinic to get cancelled?
Thanks!

If you’re not already racing at the Alpenrose Velodrome, then you are missing out on a whole ton of fun! Why not make 2015 your year to learn to race on the 43 degrees that make Alpenrose unique? Check out the flyer for the Wednesday night track development classes: http://try.obra.org/alpenrose-track-development-classes-begin-426/
This Sunday, April 26, will be a track clinic just for the ladies: http://try.obra.org/426-2015-alpenrose-womens-clinic/
Check out the flyers, let me know if you have any questions, and we’ll see you at Alpenrose!

Track racing starts this week.
Thursday - Kilo and 500M TT. The first race you should do if you are unsure
of your track skills as you are the only one on the track and it doesn't
last very long. For the experience track racer a time to put the endurance
riders in their place.
Friday - Fast Twitch Fridays. Sprint oriented races put on by Bike Central.
Saturday - The rescheduled Paint the Track Day. Pray for dry weather. The
more people who show up the faster it will go. The track always looks so
good when we get done. Free lunch (if you work).
Today - The maintenance crew (that would be me and Steve Garcia) put down
the final patches so we will be ready to paint. These will take several
hours to dry so don't plan on riding before 6:00 PM or so. We put up track
closed signs, left debris on the track and left a ladder up on the bank.
This should make it pretty obvious that there are fresh patches but we are
talking about bike racers ... At any rate, please do not put tire marks in
our fresh patches.

Track racing starts this week at the Alpenrose Velodrome. For the first
month due to the limited daylight we will be doing just Madison racing.
This is the time for you to come out if you have ridden at the track and you
are ready to Madison racing a try. Don't worry about having a partner
because we will find you one when you get there.
For experienced Madison riders come out and get a head start on the season.
This year we will have a season long Madison series with prizes at the end
of the year. Early season points will be easier to get!
As always, racing will be cancelled if the track is wet. Often it rains
during the day but the track is dry in the evening. We will never cancel
racing before 6:00 PM. You can call us at the track after 5:30 on the
velodrome phone, (503) 246-0330.
Bikes will be available for rent for $5. For the first month entry fee is
only $5, it will go up to $7 in May. Season entry is $75.
Bike storage lockers will go on sale at 5:30 PM this Thursday and every
Thursday after that. The lockers will be rented out first come, first
serve. Locker rental is $100/season. If you have stuff in a locker from
last year you need to pay this year's rental before I get someone else to
fill your space.
