Candi Murray is working on creating a resource base for new cyclists in

Oregon. This letter is an attempt to coordinate the efforts of all the

coaches in Oregon to work in a cooperative manner to promote our

profession within the cycling community as represented by OBRA. As we

coaches know, the most important step an aspiring goal oriented cyclist

can take is to hire a coach. What is missing for most of those seekers

is a ready resource of information that will enable them to understand

the selection process and its importance as well as who the candidates

are. As well, how does one make the final choice without feeling some

buyer's remorse? In an effort to enhance the effectiveness of this

project, I am compiling a list of available coaches and their

credentials. This is designed to go beyond the basic listing currently

available on the OBRA links page. I would like to contact me and supply

me with all the information you think is pertinent to an athlete making

that all important buying decision. I will contact each of you

independently and finalize the presentation format after we discuss what

is mutually beneficial for all concerned. Candi would like to have all

the details in order before the end of the week. I realize that, for

some of you, this might be difficult to accomplish. I apologize for
