This is a very educational website. http://www.lupine.de/en/home/index.html
Check out the light test page. I am very interested in the new Luxeon 3
watt LED lights, like the Wilma from Lupine. Does anyone have an opinion?

I agree. I have the same light and it is great. It lights the road like a
car headlight because you get 40 to 50 watts of light depending on which
setting you use, with up to 4 hours of run time because it is using only 10
watts. It also has three white LEDs for situations where you want to be
seen but do not need the HID light, and that is good for 80 hours. I also
use the rear tail light with it, and it can be seen much farther away than a
normal LED tail light.

I'm on my second NiteRider HID (my first was jacked at REI about a month
ago).
I opted for the one that had 3 HID modes, simply to preserve battery life. I
use low when there are street lights and high when there aren't. My commute
is 30 miles round trip, so in the winter, I pay attention to the battery
levels.
With the NiteRoder, you can get this wildly bright taillight too.

What is the best headlight and tail light combo for commuting these days?
My 10 year old NightSun Team Issue finally bit the dust. What are the super
bright lights that I see people using?
Thanks,
Ted
