This is what Goodwill says.......(from their FAQ on their site)
My mother shops at Goodwill all the time. I tell her it's better to
shop elsewhere because poor people need those goods. Who's right?

Perhaps there is another way to look at this. Buy something you
can put to it's best use BUT donate something of equal value that
someone else can put to it's best use. For instance you might
really use those Craft base layers to train or race in (which is
what they were designed for after all) and someone else could
really use a good warm jacket, decent work clothes or respectable
shoes that you might not need so much right now. And let's not
forget that the money Goodwill charges helps keep their doors open.
Every business - for profit or not - needs cash flow.

warm clothes for those who might not have access to
quality winter gear this holiday season.
Just a thought...If you can afford to race a bike, you
can probably afford to let those less fortunate have

there are shirts and pants in multiple styles and
sizes are plentiful except
small, lots of bigger sizes too
maybe craft pitched them to goodwill due to failed
