Ron and Dorothy Strasser
Thanks to the Cross Crusade worker bees, promoters and OBRA for a great series. I am tired and the Crusade courses are a big reason for this state. Each one was tough. Even though I do not want to attack another hill or run-up right now, I hope they have success in getting the same or as good courses next season. The chip timing was most fun if you sat in front of the computer and compared the laps of other riders as some have said here. That was neat. But as far as the actual race was concerned it had little to no impact for the most part from what I could see. Candi had a good point about the downside that impacted some and the officials saw much more. I know no system is perfect, but being old, I like being scored by a person. I give the Crusade a big positive nod to chips however because I think they need to try new things to keep it fresh and interesting for themselves and us riders. Still am interested how they had so many of us at 1 year old.
