Hi,
I would like to share a great experience with you. And since it has to do with bikes, I hope you find it interesting.
This afternoon my dad, Nathan Hobson, picked my sister Lauren and I up from school. He told us that we had to run a quick trip to River City Bicycles to take care of some business. I didn't mind as I always enjoy looking around at all the new bike stuff.
When we arrived, my dad told me that I had won something from Cyclocross Crusade. In my head I was thinking a $25 gift certificate to River City or something which is always a great prize. Rich Slingsby told us that my prize was upstairs so my dad, sisters Lauren and Samantha, my brother Garrett and I followed him up. We went into a small room, and Rich reached down towards a set of wheels. I was thinking, "Oh, wow! I won a set of wheels!" But it didn't stop there...not only had I won a set of wheels, I'd won an entire bike, a Bianchi Axis Cyclocross Bike. As you can imagine, I was in total shock. I had no idea that there was even a bike to win at the cyclocross races, much less that I had won it! (I'd even begged my dad for a new cyclocross bike, but he said 'no.') Rich and the River City guys helped fit it for me, and I've already ridden it around my neighborhood. It's an awesome bike, and I can't wait for the cyclocross races next year.
