don't forget the big ones, such as yield to pedestrian on sidewalk, and pass ped with care (which you should do, even if not law)
It matters from a legal point of view it it is a "saidewalk" or a "shared path" or even a "bike path" versus a "bike lane"

On the weekend the traffic can also be light, but pretty much anytime during the weekday and there is a fair amount of traffic .The paths around the pylons were increased during the reconstruction and in my experience are quite easy to maneuver around and the foot traffic is generally very light. To me riding on a the roadway with no shoulder and next to a foot high curb with fast moving traffic seems a lot less bike friendly.

The sidewalk is not very bike friendly as you have to go around bridge pylons in a few places, not to mention pedestrians. The road on the other hand is two lanes in each direction with limited traffic which means the cars have plenty of room to get by you. I rode the bridge on Saturday and felt quite safe. I do not see the bridge as much of an issue, and it is much safer than routes we use all the time like Cornell to get to Skyline. The offending driver probably would have been a problem anywhere and probably had nothing to do with the bridge.
