Thanks for all the good tips on rides north of Seattle. Summary is below for those who asked.

The Smokey Point area around Marysville has some good rolling terrain.



Also just north and east of Mill Creek area out into the farm lands is



good. Even get to smell the dairy cow herds.









I can't suggest a specific ride, but there is a lot of very good riding north of the lake out of Bothell throughout the backroads of Snohomish County. Here's some downloadable and bike-specific information that I've found useful:

   You'll find Bothell on Map 11 -- I've had best luck riding northeast from there.

Call Gregg's Greenlake cycles. They should have info. Weekend rides



used to leave from Marymoor Velodrome. But it's been years since I lived there so I have no idea what the winter schedule is. Also, that's probably 20 miles or so from you. There are a lot of great roads out towards Carnation and Duvall.



Here's one loop to try:



Woodinville to Duvall



Just before Duvall, right on W Snoqualmie Valley



After 7 miles +/-, right on Union Hill Rd



That takes you back to Redmond



There might be a bike path up the Sammish river. If not, take Willow



Rd up



to Woodinville. That should be 35 miles or so.
