Neutralizing Rules for PIR

Attention Racers of MONDAY NIGHT PIR, please read:

In the past couple of weeks there has been issues and problems around

neutralizing fields at the monday PIR.   There has been announcements at

the start detailing exactly what racers should do if this happens. Plus

racers need to know that the race officials don't just throw everyone

out there haphazardly, they know precisely when they should start the

subsequent groups. They do this to try to avoid groups catching each

other, etc. We have also left it up to the groups to handle announcing

neutralizing to everyone. The rules are basically, if you are being

caught by a faster group you must be neutralized and slow to let the

group pass. This also means you move away from the group coming up and

not MIX into them. Racers should be able to see clearly if they are

mixing in, since the group is going faster and that you are now riding

next to a whole bunch of different racers. The main issue here is

neutralize and slow down, letting the other group(s) PASS.

Also when finished racing, please be heads up and be AWARE of other

groups out racing still. This has been an issue with the Masters 50+ and

Women, just please be aware of this. Thanks.

Thanks again for racing the event, and any questions just let me know

(respond to me).
