27th Edition of the

PIECE OF CAKE   ROAD RACE



Sunday March 31st



Location:

The traditional course (same as last year), in the heart of grass seed

country in Linn County, near the community of Halsey. The course winds

over a flat, windswept 7.9 mile loop. Surface conditions range from rough

to excellent pavement, with a flat, safe finish area. Light tires are not

recommended. We will have a covered registration area thanks to Oak Park

Farms, please respect their property.



Directions:

From I-5, take exit 216, and proceed 2.3 miles W. on Hwy. 228 miles until

you reach Hwy. 99E (in Halsey), turn North on 99E and go 2 miles until you

reach Oak Plain Drive. Turn West on Oak Plain Drive and go 1.5 miles to

the Start/Finish area. Driving distance from Portland is about 90 miles.

Note: If you show up after racing has begun please exercise caution on Oak

Plain Drive from the intersection with Dannen Rd. to the Start/Finish area.

Pre-registration is $17.00, postmarked by March 22, $20.00 day of

?       Piece of Cake is an OBRA (Oregon Bicycle Racing Association) event,

USCF licenses not honored.

?       OBRA one-day license available for $5.00, annual license available

for $15.00

?       All racers are required to read and sign the standard athletes

release form

?       Supply a corner marshall and receive a free race entry.
