Downtown Cycling Classic Racing Returns to Downtown

Featuring Kids Fun Race on 9/22





The Willamette Valley's largest bicycle race is back and better than ever. With the 20th anniversary

of the festival, the organizing group Downtown Events Management, Inc and Jim Anderson have worked

to bring back a downtown cycling event to the festival. This year it's happening including a Kids

Fun Race!



A new feature this year is the addition of a Fun Kids Race! The Fun Kids Race, which is free, will

take place in the middle of the racing schedule on Sunday September 22nd at 11:30am. Kids and their

parents should meet at registration area at parking lot on corner of 3rd and Lincoln at 11:00am so

we have enough time to coordinate and set up the kids for the event. The course for the kids will be

run along 3rd between Lawrence and Lincoln Streets. The kid's racecourse will be set up with cones

and done on laps according to age level. We will group kids by 2-4, 4-6, 7-9, and 9-11 years old.

All kids participating will receive a Kids Race Participant Ribbon and there will be a special kid's

only raffle. All kids are welcome, any age and ability. So bring the kids down to celebrate the

return to bicycle racing to downtown and the 20th anniversary of the Eugene Celebration!
