Greetings Northwest Cyclists,

Here are a few headlines appearing on Northwest Race Report.com

(http://nwracereport.com/) for Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002.

World Masters Track Championships: Annette Hanson and Kenny Williams set

records in Manchester, England; Stan Gregg wins yet another rainbow

jersey.

Camas Omnium: Broadmark's Tyler Thompson and Lakeside/Rivers Edge rider

Kerry Rohan out-pointed their competition in Camas, Wash., this weekend,

but Trek/VW/Bike Gallery rider John Leonard's performance in the

criterium stole the show.

Coming up tomorrow: Confused on how to choose endurance related

supplements? NWRR with the help of Supplementwatch.com will have a

feature tomorrow with evaluations of seven of the top supplements on the

market. The results might surprise you.

Coming up next week: The road racing year in review. NWRR will take a

look at the top riders and their performances in the Northwest this

year. NWRR will also present it's first Editor's Choice Awards, which

will rank riders, events and performances. That will run next Thursday.

Future coverage: NWRR will have full coverage of the Northwest

cyclocross season. Expect a preview of the events and the top riders

shortly after the season starts.

And: NWRR, in conjunction with the Bicycle Paper, is in the process of

finalizing plans to produce a guide to bicycle racing in the Northwest.

This handbook will include course profiles, history on how previous

races were won, who the top players are in each region, contacts

information to the governing bodies of cycling in each region, and, of

course a comprehensive calendar. Track, road and mountain are slated to

appear. If you plan on traveling out of state to race, this guide will

be the best source of information on how to approach the races

tactically. Best of all, it's free. Due out in early February.

Thanks for your support this road season and don't forget, the Eugene

Cycling Celebration is this weekend.
