THE JOUST
In the spirit of gentlemanly and gentlewomanly competition, the Joust is the
most revered means of establishing domination and superiority over a worthy
opponent.
The Joust (w/ regards to the 'Cross Crusades) involves the throwing down of
the gauntlet, before the second race of the series, by one competitor to
challenge one or more of his/her adversaries (in the same category). Couples
bearing rings may also challenge like couples to a joust.
To accept the joust, the challenged must agree to the joust by picking up
the gauntlet and registering a wager with the registrars of the 'Cross
Crusade.
Scoring is to be kept by the combatants as a matter of honor. At the
conclusion of the Crusades, the winner will be awarded a medal and a place
in the annals of 'Cross Crusade history................as well as the bounty
of the wager with his/her combatant.
Laypersons Translation:
You can challenge a friend or foe in your category to a formal gentlemen's
bet between yourselves. We are terming this friendly little competition
"The Joust". A Joust sign-up sheet will be at the registration table for
you to formally consummate the challenge set forth by you and your
combatant. We are simply the enablers....
See you on Sunday,
Club Vivo
