Sunday, November 3rd

Memorial Park in the bustling 'burb of Wilsonville, Oregon.

A brand new course awaits all you bog-trotting 'cross racers out there this

weekend. We're calling it a 'Combo Platter' of sorts, as it serves up a

little of everything: flat and smooth asphalt, heavily wooded windy double

track, lush green grassy knolls, several short speedy running sections, fast

loose gravel road, the "litter box" (aka sand pit) and the finest bunch of

'cross racing folk anywhere in the world.

Race flyer can be found at: www.crosscrusade.com/wilsonville.htm

Some notes worth mentioning:

The park is in a residential neighborhood and is open to the public.

Although we have a permit to be there, and the course is well marked, it is

important we watch out for neighbors walking dogs, joggers and other

pedestrians that might not understand what is going on. Just remember a

little kindness goes a long way in ensuring continued use of this beautiful

park venue.

Now in its 10th season, the River City Bicycles 'Cross Crusade Series is an

Oregon-based grassroots effort that has grown into the largest cyclocross

series in North America**. The 'Cross Crusade series emphasizes fun and

participation which is evidenced by the expansive prize list that ranges

from cash and bike-related merchandise to six-packs of MacTarnahan's

microbrew and bottles of Oregon-grown wines (some Italian vino too). This

level of generosity is made possible by the unparalleled support of the

series' title sponsor River City Bicycles and presenting sponsors

Cannondale, Saturn/RussAuto, MacTarnahan's and Sellwood Cycle Repair.

Note:

**We ARE the largest series in North America, and quite possibly, the entire

world. We are researching to see if we can legitimately make that claim.
