A modern day Icarus with cup of delicious darkly hot brew in hand to greet

the day as the first fingered stabbings of dawn make their way through hazy,

lazy misty wisps. Glittering bejeweled tributes to disposable income soon

to be splattered into muddy skeletons of magic metals and composites...one

ultimately indistinguishable from the other...mud becomes the mechanism of

equality...

- The final race of the 2003 River City Bicycles Cyclocrocross Crusade

series is this Sunday, 11/23/03.

- This race is also the State/District Cyclocross Championships. Coveted

State Championships medals will be awarded by OBRA.

- Double series points will also be awarded in each category and will, no

doubt affect the overall series standings. The category winners are still

up in the air at this point, in fact, there are several categories where the

top riders are separated by single digits.

- As if that was not enough, it is also the 3rd race in the "Grail Della

Grunge" friendly series between Portland and Seattle. Portland holds a slim

lead in the challenge thus far and will likely extend that lead this

weekend.

- As an added incentive to the Elite Men and Women in their battle for the

Grail Della Grunge, we are adding a cash prize list to this race ($500/ Men

Cat A; $250/ Women Cat A)!!!

- Registration for the 2003 Cyclocross National Championships will be

available on site.

9:30am- Beginners, Masters 40-49 & Masters 50+ (40 min race)

11:45am- Category B & Single Speed (45 min race)

12:45pm- Women- Cat A, Cat B & Masters (45 min race)

1:40pm- Course Open for Warm-up

2:00pm- Cat A/Elite Men & Masters 30-39 (60 min race)
