and Women Series

Where:
Portland International Raceway. From I-5 take exit #306B west.
Registration:
Opens at 5pm. OBRA licenses available (single-day $5 or annual $15).
Registration located at start/finish area on the track in the middle of the
main grand stands.
Start Times:
Novice Masters: 6:15, Women: 6:30, Masters Groups: 6:45
Course/Distances:
Distances vary each week depending on daylight/field sizes/weather, and will
be announced at start/registration. Course is flat, wide, 1.9-mile loop,
closed to traffic with excellent pavement. Race distances average from 20-30
miles (women's race), 30- 55 miles (master's cat. 1/2/3/4), 10-15 miles
(novice masters/cat. 5)
Categories/Race Schedule:
New Addition - Novice Masters for anyone aged (30+, 5 or less races, Cat.
5). This group will have experienced
"ride-along" mentors from the Lakeside Bicycles/Fred Meyer Cycling Team.
May and June - cat 1,2,3 , cat 4 and masters 50+.
July and August - masters 30+ cat 1,2,3 , cat 3,4 and masters 50+.
Women's race - Categories are open for all women. All abilities and ages
welcomed and encouraged! New women racers are especially appreciated.
Monthly series points will score Cat 1,2,3 , Cat 4,5 and Masters 35+ women
separately. Please make note of your category on registration. Results for
the night will be based on open (all) women.
Additional Information:
Kids fun event starts at 7pm (July/Aug), for ages 13 and under. Bring helmet
and bike, and be ready to have fun - everyone gets a ribbon.
Min. field size for all Masters is 40 racers. Helmets required, OBRA racing
rules apply, and no aero bars allowed.
Commuters Discount:
Bike commute to the race and get $1.00 off entry fee. New this year:
Car-pool (with 1 or more other racer(s)) or take the new Tri-Met Interstate
Max Line to the race and receive $1.00 off entry fee. Proof required. For
every racer participating in this program, $1.00 is dontated to the Bicycle
Transportation Alliance.
Prizes:
Series prizes awarded at end of each month (month=series). Thanks to
Lakeside Bicycles for great prizes and gift certificates (non-transferable
with expiration date)

SEASON PASS PLANS (INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM):
Individual Pass Plan (non-transferable) - Get a great deal on racing by
purchasing a season pass for the series! The amazing price of $135 gets you
a season pass. That means you get to race for approx. $8.50 a race!
Passes can be purchased before the first race (highly recommended) by mail,

Quick registration, no card needed, just show up and sign up on registration
sheets!
Rules (Individual):
-Season Passes are NON-TRANSFERABLE
-No Refunds will be given AFTER the first race
Team Season Pass Plan (Transferable) ? Get your team together and get in on
a great deal on a package of races. Quick registration. Passes can be
purchased before the first race (highly recommended) by mail, or at
registration at first race. Just check into registration making note of your
team, race number and your set!
