Mudslinger update

Hello again and it was nice to see all you brave people at the Big K.

The course is looking great and I wanted to inform you of a few things.

1. You can still pre-register by downloading a form from OBRA.org or

online at www.orbike.com, also check for the latest at

www.mudslingerevents.com

2. I will be doing registration from 7am-9am in the gym the morning of

registration.

3. No parking at the church parking lot, a 50th wedding anniversary is

going on.

4 Please when parking along the road stay off to the side as safely as

you can and don't block any driveways. Please be nice to the residents.

I will hopefully secure a water truck for a bike wash after the race.

The school has a well that we drained in 2003, so we can't use their

limited supply.

5. I will be starting the race 1.8 miles from the school and it is not

a race down to the start line from the school after the pre race

meeting.

6. The pro/elite (semi-pro) and 19-34 experts will be starting at the

same time and same distance followed by the pro and expert women. As in

previous years if less than 5 pro women register I will combine the

classes for the cash payout. I already have 2 and I put a special new

singletrack in for Amy on the first climb after the first climb at 4.3

miles, so I hope to see Alice, Amy and Kori back for another round.

See ya soon, Mike

WOW! The course firmed up today. I rode the sport course and with the

weather I will add a tiny bit more to that distance. I rode it in 1:15

or so pushing hard and thats a little to fast.(Middle ring climbs) So

this will add 10 minutes or so and more singletrack. A semi slick in

the rear would work for the course. No need for a fender this time) The

other courses stay the same 1 lap beginner. 1 big lap plus a little

for sports, and 2 full sized big laps for experts and pros/elite and

singlespeed. No parking at the Church this year so utilize the main rd

(blodgett) and park off the shoulder where there is room (Both sides).

There is coffee in the gym from Allann Bros and a fun time for all. On

a serious note if you are at the event pre race or post without your

helmet on while on your bike you can be disqualified. Hardcore (maybe)

its the rule and I will enforce it. Also the insurance that we are

under depends on it. All you seasoned riders try and help out by

mentioning it to a not so seasoned rider if you see him/her without a

helmet on. I will be at the course saturday and at peak from 3-6 pm for

registration. Peaks Number is (541) 754-6444 If you dont have a

license register the day of race at the gym when the OBRA rep will be

there with plates and licenses. If you do have a license come by and

register if you want to save time the day of race.

Thanks, Mike
