Hi Everyone,
The Swan Island Cycling Classic scheduled for this Sunday, May 6th on Swan
Island in PORTLAND, OREGON (see directions below) is proud to announce that
we will score the Junior racers in two categories. We will score the Juniors
age 10-14 years (both girls and boys separate 5 deep) and Juniors age 15-18
(both girls and boys separate 5 deep). Juniors race at 8:30am.
We will also be having TWO Raffles - You will receive one raffle ticket for
each race you enter. First raffle will be at NOON for the morning racers.
You must be present to WIN! Second raffle will be at 5pm for the afternoon
racers. You must be present to WIN!
We will be raffling off two sets of wheels - Compliments of Weir Bicycle
Shop and Beckwith Bicycles- one set in the morning and one set in the
afternoon. We will also be raffling off a $100 gift certificate from T & E
Cycles (AM) and a $100 gift certificate to Team Sales Clothing (PM) plus
many more raffle prizes - raffle is free with your entry.
Weather for Sunday is HIGH of 68 - partly cloudy, wind 5mph. Looks like a
beautiful day.
Parking for the race will be at the State Motor Pool lot north of Leverman -
Please do not block their gate. You can also part on the North of Cutter
Circle Dr.

Registration: Day of race only: Opens at 8:00 AM. $15 first race, $7 each
race thereafter. Juniors $7 any race. Kids Free for Kids Race. Entry fees
include OBRA equipment and insurance surcharge. Insurance and sanctioning
is provided by the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association
This is an OBRA event. All OBRA rules and regulations apply. OBRA one day
and year licenses available at the race. USCF license is not required.
Important notice: Approved helmets are required. Criterium rules. Free lap
rule in effect.
Course: Flat, just under one mile circular course with big wide sweeping
corners
and excellent pavement. Excellent course for both new racers and
experienced racers.
Directions: In Porland, Oregon - From I 5 North or South, take the Swan
Island Exit. Take a
Right on North Basin, Right on Leverman. Follow signs to parking. The
course is on Leverman and Cutter Circle Rd.
