Where: Corbett School. Only 30 min from downtown. Take I-84 East to Exit

22, right 2 miles to top of hill, turn right, school on left.

Date:   Saturday, September 25, 2004.

Registration: 8:00AM to 9:00AM. All riders must sign in.

Start Time: 9:30AM Riders off at one minute intervals thereafter.



Categories: (Separate Men?s & Women?s for each category)

Tandem, Tandem Mixed

Juniors 10-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18

Clydesdale (under 175, 175-200, 200-225, over 225)

Masters 60+, 55-59, 50-54, 45-49, 40-44, 35-39, 30-34

Novice ??no prior racing experience

Category 5 ?.. ten races or fewer

Category 4

Senior 3

Senior 1/2



Course: Pavement is good to excellent. Rollers at first then a steady climb

through old growth forest for the final six miles. Climbs 3,000? over 16.4

miles. From the Corbett School Complex 2.1 miles along the Columbia Gorge

Scenic Highway to the intersection of Larch Mountain Road, take this for

14.3 miles to summit parking area. An Amazing View is yours for a 300m walk

from finish.



Details:   Descents on Larch can be cold and wet, be prepared. Plastic bags

will be provided to transport each rider?s gear (backpack food, clothing,

etc) to the summit for his or her descent back to the Corbett School. Riders

needing assistance returning to the staging area should contact officials

prior to the day of the event.



Cost: Pre-registration is $15 and must be received by September 22nd.

Day-of Registration is $20, but the only way to guarantee that you will

start with your category is by pre-registering. Riders who do not start

with their category will receive start times after all other riders are off.



Note: Proof of OBRA membership required. One day OBRA pass available for an

extra $5. OBRA license waived for out of state.

Prizes: Ribbons are awarded 3 deep for all categories meeting the 5 entry

minimum. We reserve the right to combine fields.



Requirements:   This is an OBRA event. Helmets must be worn at all times.

This is a rural community inviting us to race. Please exercise common sense,

etiquette, and rules of the road. Permits are for racing up the mountain

only. Your return trip MUST follow the rules of the road. Please contact us

with any questions.



For Bicycle Racing?s Future: You?re an ambassador of our sport, please act

accordingly. Riders who blatantly disregard this will be sanctioned as

deemed appropriate by the race organizer and chief official.
