I was asked to pass this on.
April 5, 2005. For Immediate Release.
May 7th, 2005- Ashland, Oregon will be the site for
the 1st ever mountain
bike Up and Down freestyle event know as
Chutes and Ladders. This
unique event is presented by 3AM Events
(www.3amevents.net).
Staged in a natural rock quarry, one mile from
downtown Ashland, riders
will rip up and down a multitude of possible lines
during their descent of
the 250-foot rock quarry walls.
Ten to fifty foot drops, with man-made gap jumps,
multiple wall rides,
step-downs, hits, ladders and huge transitions will
line the walls of this
natural amphitheater.
This course will present a dizzying array of choices
sculpted from natural
terrain and man-made problems.
Creativity, style and a solid line will determine
who rides away with the
cash purse and the grand prize of a complete Kona
Stinky Dee-lux free ride
MT bike ($3000.00). A festival setting will frame
the course with food,
drinks, music and entertainment.
The after party, hosted at the eclectic Black Sheep
Pub in down town
Ashland, will follow the event. The event is open to
riders of all ages.
