There seems to be some confusion on what race riders may ride at the

State Championships. It is my intention to clarify that.

Every rider has a class and a category.

The Class is

Jr - under 18

Sr over 18

Master over 30.

Women - duh



There is some overlap there. A 35 year old Master is also a Sr. Any

Women may ride in the Men's field. A Junior may also ride in the senior

field, just not the masters fields.



Categories is more clearly defined. Cat 1- 5. You may not ride in a

ride that your category does not allow you to. The lone exception to

this is a Women may ride one category down if she competes in a men's

field. So Cat 3 women may ride with the cat 4 men.



If you are a Cat 4/5, no matter what age you can ride in the Cat 4/5

championships. If you are 40 or over you may not ride in the 30-39

championships.
