Oregon State High School Championship

For the first year ever, Oregon will have a high school state championship=

=20

for mountain bikers. Any junior racer from the state of Oregon is invited,=

=20

and 3 people from the same school constitutes a team (3 male or 3 female).=

=20

Medals will be given 15 deep in both sexes, and there are no skill level=20

classes. The top 3 finishing teams will receive trophies.

We've already picked the date, Saturday June 9th, 2001, and here's the=20

place: Kimmel Park, Mill City, Oregon. What else is there to know? It is=20

NORBA sanctioned and the top finishers will be invited to the 2002=20

Nationals! This year's courses will be a modified Santiam Pedalfest=20

beginner course. It consist of 7 miles of fire road and singletrack.

Important!

=B7The Oregon State High School Championship will be insured under the=20

National Off-Road Bicycle Association (NORBA) insurance policy, so OBRA=20

licenses will not be honored.

Pre-registration deadline through mail.

Saturday, June 9th, 2001

Registration time: 8:00 =96 9:30 am.

Start time: 10:00 am.

Course Information

above.

Everyone races the same 7 miles course. There are no beginner/sport/expert=

=20

divisions.

License

All racers will be required to hold a valid National Off-Road Bicycle=20

Association (NORBA) license. OBRA licenses will not be honored. One-day=20

licenses are suggested because they only cost $5; annual licenses are more=

=20

expensive and not really needed. Both types can be purchased at the race=

site.

=B7Trophies 3 deep for overall male and female teams

=B7A raffle will be held after the race

Please keep in mind that these entry fees do not include the cost of a=20

NORBA license. A NORBA license will be an additional $5 and should be=20

purchased at the race.

All athletes will be required to sign an Entry and Release form. All riders=

=20

under the age of 18 will be required to have a parent or guardian signature=

=20

on the Release form. Contact the CHS Cycling Club if you would like one=20

mailed to you prior to the event, or download a form. DO NOT SEND NORBA=20

LICENSE PAYMENT! To pre-register, fill out the Entry and Release form and=20

mail with check or money order, payable to:
