Marty Nothstein, 2000 Olympic Gold Medalist in the Match Sprints has
agreed to race at the Alpenrose Challenge this summer July 27,28.29 in
Portland. 2001 willb e the third year of the event held at the
velodrome. The AVC last year drew a stellar class of track racers and was
identified as the 'go to' event by the Canadian national team. We expect
an even higher caliber of athletes this year since.
