I have agreed to have a session at Alpenrose for some Middle School and High

School kids this coming Thursday, 5/17. There will be 2 sessions, one from

10:00 AM to 11:15 AM and then a second from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM. There will

be a total of 46 kids there.



The plan is to have some of them on the track, some doing a CCX thing and

possibly also using the BMX track. The BMX people are looking for some

volunteers to help. Jeremy VanSchoonhoven is coming up to do some bike

trails stuff.



I need some people to help with the track and CCX portion. On the track we

will need to fit people to bikes and then teach them to ride around the

track. For CCX the kids will have their own bikes (I hope) and we will need

to set up a small CCX course and do some instructing.



Please, please, please... If you are available let me know. This is the

point where all the people that are complaining about the lack of junior

racers or the lack of general popularity of bike racing to put their time

where there mouth was. Get back to me so I know you will be there.
