The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is evidently collecting info on

bicycle accidents, the link for more info:

http://www.bikeleague.org/mediacenter/mede-news050101.htm#may9

http://www.cdc.gov/ncipc/bike/

These sites also appear to offer a lot of other cycling info... Anyway, as

long as I am sending this email, a good dairy entry from John Lieswyn at

tour of gila. Most this entry is about about bicycle/auto accidents.

 Friends,

Fellow cyclist Jay DeBendar was struck by a car on Friday 5/11 on his

way

to work. His helmet saved his life as it prevented his head from being

crushed. So wear your helmet and if inclined give him a call at

503.280.9694.
