Bike repaint

I believe that Dean at Acme is only doing builders frames now and not repaints. I think he's defining a builder frame as a frame that doesn't already have paint on it.

The wait for any of Dean's paint jobs is, in my opinion, worth it. He paints all of our frames along with many other local builders including Vanilla, Pereira, and Strawberry.

Yes, ACME will do decals. It costs about $50 extra.

Note that ACME paint jobs, while very well done, can take several months to complete. I had a bike that took 3 months to complete (one color). In that time Dean was a ?challenge? to get a hold of to get an update on the status.
YMMV.

I'm considering getting my Lemond repainted. Lemond provides a factory
repaint service for ~$300, which includes stripping, priming, repaint and
decals. They can do any current production color scheme. Here's what I'm
wondering:

* Is this a reasonable price?
* Anyone out there gone through Lemond to do this? Experiences?
* Can ACME do a repaint with decals? If so, how much is it generally to
have 2-color with panels? Do I need to provide decals?
* Is there anywhere else that may be cheaper than a factory job?

Thanks in advance. Please reply to me and I'll collate results to save
list-thrash.
Joel
