I just want to give the Oregon peloton a quick update on registration for the 2006 Elkhorn Classic Stage Race.

To be brief: registrations are way ahead of last year's record high participation. If racing in the men's cat 3 or men's 4/5 categories, and the Elkhorn is on your calendar, I would strongly suggest that you register earlier than previous years. There are just a few Oregon riders currently registered while the vast majority are from out of state. Remember all fields are limited to 100 except the 4/5's and that is 75. The race will be closed when total participation reaches 400 regardless of individual field sizes. Complete registration details are at www.elkhornclassic.com
