I shredded an XTR rear derailleur last night. Cage self-destructed and
ate my hanger in the process...on my trainer! Anybody out there have a
short cage Shimano rear derailleur that is mangled but still has a
serviceable pulley assembly? Road or off-road, doesn't matter. I may
attempt to repair the part if I can find an appropriate piece. Or I may
just curse Shimano for making parts that are virtually impossible to
rebuild.

If not, I'm looking for a replacement XTR rapid rise short cage rd. Yes,
this goes on my road bike. Don't ask.
