Join cyclists worldwide in a silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph/20 kph) in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.

Why does this site exist?
To HONOR those who have been injured or killed
To RAISE AWARENESS that we are here
To ask that we all SHARE THE ROAD
Please go to the web page to learn more about the ride and see which other cities and towns are having rides. Tell you friends in other cities in case they don?t know about it.
Also on the web page there is a page for ?in memoriam?. There you?ll see some of the faces for who this ride is for. I will be riding in memory of my father-in-law, Mike Katz, who was killed last July riding near St. Louis. Even if you don?t know someone who?s been killed, please show support by wearing a black arm band for those who have been lost. Wear a red arm band if you yourself have been injured in a motor vehicle / bicycle accident.
We?ll ride a 12 mile loop with MLK and Killingsworth as the NW limit and SE Belmont and 49th as the SE limit. We?ll pass six Ghost Bikes. The ride will be slow and silent.
Members of the OBRA community can assist at the ride the following ways:
- fill in the gaps during the ride so as to not allow cars to join or cut through the group
- encourage everyone to stay on the right ride of the street since some of the neighborhood streets are narrow and the police motorcycles will need to pass us on the left to block the next intersection
- lend a hand to the less experience cyclists and help keep everyone together
