Mt. Hood Cycling Classic
Since we are on the subject of Barry I need to make sure all of you know
that he and Ryan Trebon will be facing off again this year at the Mt.
Hood Cycling Classic with some of the nations top roadies. Yes these
guys are so well rounded that they rip on the roads also.
Okay I am sure I will embarrass both of these guys but I feel that the
truth must be told to my fellow OBRA members. Besides being incredible
athletes they are also some of the most tremendous ambassadors to the
sport I have ever seen. Last year they spoke at assemblies in some of
the elementary schools in Hood River about the life of a pro cyclist.
In addition they showed up in full uniform at our Saturday kid's race to
help and cheer the kids on. It was hilarious seeing two guys at 6 foot
5 mingling with the 4-10 year olds. The kids loved it They were such a
success last year that they will be speaking at several elementary
schools this year to nearly 1500 kids in the area about the sport of
cycling. These guys are class acts! Sorry guys. I just thought
everyone should know the truth!
