It's like Andre the Giant says in "the Princess Bride"

It's not my fault I'm the biggest and the strongest.

I don't even exercise!

There's always going to be a faster guy out there. If not, then you'll
be the one people are whining about.

C'est la vie.

I remember my first year as an expert. US NORBA National Championships at Deer Valley and Gunnar Shogren - still fully supported out of the DiamondBack truck (I think he was still getting paid) beat us by a time zone.

It wasn't very many years later that a recently retired Daryl Price did the same thing to us at Mt Snow.

And I'm sure there are other examples both road and off road.

It really brings up the age old debate: "Once a Pro always a Pro??"

Do you have to "de-tune" to become an amateur again? How much? What's the criteria? It's not just OBRA and cycling but all sports.

Dudes what do you want Steve to do? He has a full time job, a wife, 3 kids with twins on the way so I?m told. And he?s not a pro anymore. What if it was you or me that just happened to be a very fast expert racer?
He can?t race Pro for the rest of his life. Plus OBRA issued him his racing license and I know they know who he is, so chill kids.
